Our Halloween Party

We decided we wanted to have a Halloween Party at our house and we invited some of our friends from Dental School. It was a lot of fun because we have not got together in awhile. We had some great food I made broccoli and cheddar soup & chili they both turned out really good considering I never made them before. Everyone brought some good food to go along with it thanks everyone. We played some fun games one was bobbing for dounuts you have to eat a dounut off a string without touching it, it was messy but fun. We also teamed up and wrapped a person up as a mummy and the first team done won. The Girls won because we are awesome!

In Memory of A VERY Special Lady!

DORTHY TIPPIN
(aka Grandma Tippin, My Dad's Mom)
Grandma Tippin, Braxton and Grandpa Tippin

Yesterday we received some very unfortunate news, My Grandma Tippin passed away. This was a big surprise to everyone she was a very active and healthy lady. She had a hemorrhagic stroke while she was on vacation with her family. It all happened so fast I don't think anyone has had time to process it yet. She will be dearly missed.
My Grandma was very special to me, we had a lot in common. She taught me the love of taking pictures and she was the first one to introduce me to scrapbooking. Grandma always had her camera everywhere she went! When we would go on trips or drives she would always be stopping to take pictures I loved it! When I was about 10 yrs old I got to go on a little trip with Grandma without any other grandkids I was so excited. We we went up to the mountains and went searching for rocks. I was really into rock collecting at the time, but I loved just being with Grandma. She took interest in my hobbies and helped me to explore them and learn more about them. We both loved scrapbooking so when we would get together we would love to see what each other has done with our scrapbooks and get new ideas. I always looked forward to visiting Grandma.
Grandma loved to travel she has been all over the world, I tried to get her to take me with her on her big trips but I guess I was too big to fit in the suitcase. I loved that she went all over I have always said I want to be like my Grandma Tippin. She lived life to its fullest and enjoyed everything she did. She loved nature I think if you look at her pictures books half of her albums are some beautiful scenery. In fact she was in Mexico one time and she was trying to get some pictures of some ruins, but Grandma had to get a better picture so she hiked up into a area that was off limits. Pretty soon the Mexican police were looking for the person who was trespassing. Luckily she did not get caught, Mexico is not the place you want to be in jail. But that is typical of Grandma she would do what ever she could to get a good picture.
I want Grandpa Tippin to know that we are all thinking about him and praying for him. I know we all Loved Grandma so much! It is so sad that she is gone. It is a comfort to know that she is in a better place. I am grateful for the gospel and the knowledge it gives to us. I know that I will see her again. Grandma has had a wonderful life and is very loved she will be missed but she will not be forgotten.

Update on life with two kiddos!

Well it has definatley been an adjustment having two kids. It has been better then I thought it would be though. I thought for sure Braxton would be a little monster but he has done really well! He loves his little brother a lot and loves the fact that he is a Big Brother! He likes to hold Corbin but at least he ask me and does not try to pick him up by himself yet. I do have to watch him when he gives him loves because sometimes he kinda lays on him when he is trying to give him a hug, I have to remind him that he is way to big to lay on the baby. Brax gets a little whiny when I am feeding Corbin and his new thing to tell me is that he is really really hungry when ever I am nursing. So I had to set up little snack bags so he would have something to eat. Braxton loves to show off his baby brother, when people come over he says look this is MY Baby Corbin.

Corbin luckily has been a really good baby so far. He does not cry much which is really nice, instead he grunts a lot. It is the funniest sound it reminds me of the sound a velociraptor would make. It takes him about 5 min to work up to a cry which I am not complaining about. He is a really loud sleeper so we moved him into the guest bedroom and that is working a bit better. He is sleeping like a newborn sleeps he likes to wake up to eat every three hours to eat he really like his food, but he will usually go back to sleep after he is done so it is not horrible. I really like it when he will go 4 hours it make my day sometime he does and I love it! The hardest part has been getting up with Braxton at seven o clock every morning the kid has built in alarm clock. He is always up around 7 or 7:30 with out fail. So it makes it a little rough after I have been up with Corbin.
I wanted to do a little fall photo shoot but it is so cold already outside that I just brought in some decorations and did it in the house, it worked out alright.
Corbin 2 1/2 weeks old.

He is starting to chunk up already look at those double chins!
My cute little man!
Brothers cuddling
Brax trying to hold his hand. Corbin loves to hold hands, it will calm him down pretty quick if you hold his hand, it is really cute.

Fun with Grandma

I am so GRATEFUL for this very SPECIAL lady! Lindy has been a life saver! It has been so nice having her out here. I don't have to worry about anything with Braxton, he loves her so much he is ready to ditch mom and dad and go home with Grandma! He keeps telling us that he is going home with grandma and we can stay here. I could not be luckier when it comes to my in-laws they are amazing. Kirk was nice enough to send Lindy these roses and a bouquet of flowers to me too. Lindy has always been so nice to me and we have a great time when we are together. That has been a hard thing about living in OHIO we don't get to the Grandparents as much but we have been adjusting. Then they come out to see you and realize how much your missing out on! Lindy leave on Monday and I am really sad about it, that is when real life with two kids will start. That makes me a little nervous it has not been bad at all with Lindy here and Braxton has been SOOO good with baby Corbin but we will see what happens when Grandma leaves. Braxton keeps telling her that she can't go and I think I have to agree with him. We all LOVE you LINDY, thanks for everything!
I got spoiled with all these pretty flowers. The large bouquet on the right Kirk got for me, the one in the middle Lindy and Braxton brought to me at the hospital, and the ones I am holding are roses Braxton picked for me from our rose bush. They were all so pretty thanks everyone!
Tuckered out after watching the big game!
Braxton loved this scary spider Grandma got!
We decided we would take Braxton to a pumpkin patch to enjoy the fall weather. It was pretty fun we went on a hay ride, then we got to go find our own pumpkin, and go through a little corn maze. It was pretty muddy but it was still fun. They also had these fun blow up slide and bouncer that Braxton LOVED we could not leave with out letting him play on those. I think dad liked the slide too! It was a lot of fun but it was a little cold so this is what Corbin did the whole time, luckily he slept so he didn't mind staying in his car seat!
Going down the slide, braxton loved it.
