Flag Football

Braxton wanted to play Flag Football so we signed him up. He has really liked it, he does not always pay attention which is frustrating for me sometimes.  I don't care how he plays but I do want him to at least listen to his coaches when they are talking to him!  I do have to say he is improving on that to his last practice he did really good at listening to his coaches and he had a lot of fun playing so too so I was happy to see the improvement.
Corbin likes watching on the side lines, however he does want to go play with brother.  He loves the mud pits that are all over the field he loves stomping in them.
Making faces at the other team.
 Stopping to pose.
Chasing down the ball trying to get the flag!

Easter Fun!

We had a great Easter this year the Easter Bunny was good to us.
Of course we colored Eggs and the boys loved it!

The Hoggards were kind enough to have us all over for dinner it makes for a pretty big crew when we all get together.  But the kids loved it and so do the adults.

The Red Woods

After we were done in good ol San Francisco we drove out to the redwoods!   It was beautiful the trees out there are so big!
We saw a opportunity to drive our car through a tree who could pass that up.  It was a tight fit but we made it!  The amazing thing is the tree is still alive and huge!

The boys loved playing on some of the old trees that had fallen down.

We had to check out Big Foot!
The redwoods!  Of course it was raining but that did not slow us down.  Corbin was not a fan though and he refused to walk.  We ended up leaving him and he still did not come until we hid behind a tree and he could not  see us but we could see him then he would be crying and walk to where he could see us then he would stop again such a stubborn child!
 Brax thought it was awesome

Trying to wrap around the tree!

San Francisco!!

While Kirk and Lindy were visiting we thought it would be fun to drive down to San Francisco to see the sights. I have never been there so I was pretty excited to go.  We ordered some GO San Francisco cards,  for people who are not familiar with theses they are awesome.  They have them in most major cities and it is a good way to see a lot of different things for one price, you pay one price and then they send you a book and you can get into everything in the book for free.  They work really good with kids to because their attention span is so short so you can check out a lot of different things and not feel like you getting ripped off because you did not spend the normal entrance fee to get in. We have used them in a couple different cities and we really like them.
We were waiting to get on the city trolley tour and Lindy gave Corbin a sip of her coke!  I love his face in this picture!  This kid cracks me up.
Our tour guide stopped at this church and gave us a couple minutes to go check out the inside it was beautiful.  It had a lot of stain glass windows that were amazing!
Corbin got a little tired on the tour and fell asleep.
We had lunch at the Rain-forest Cafe expensive but always a fun environment.
We went into this wax museum because it was free and thought it might be fun. This was my first time in one and lets say I would never do it again I thought it was weird! They did have this chair and it was showing something then something scary popped out at you it was kinda funny.
We checked out the aquarium and the boys thought that was pretty neat.
We went on a boat tour that took you to golden gate bridge and around Alcatraz it was neat to see the bridge that close up.  It would of been fun to go on a tour of Alcatraz but it was like $80.00 a person. I don't think I want to see it that bad!
 That is Alcatraz behind me.
The captain let Corbin drive the boat he was pretty excited!
 Inside that neat church.
 The Golden Gate Bridge.

We went to Children's museum there and the boys loved it and had a lot of fun playing with all the fun stuff!
These huts were so cool, there were live plants that they weaved together to make different shapes it was amazing!
They had tons of different toys to play with at the Children's Museum and they wanted to climb the tree that is awesome! It was a really cool tree.

This is the windiest road in america we drove down it and it was very twisted!  The roads in San Fran are crazy it is one thing to see it on T.V. but it just does not do it justice.  Some of the the roads are so steep it is crazy, you feel like your on a roller coaster!  Braxton thought it was awesome and said when he grows up he is going to move to San Francisco.
This was a fun little diner that we ate dinner at, it was good and a fun environment.
We had a great time on our way home we went to check out the redwoods  that will be the next post!

Grandma and Grandpa Visit, Portland

Kirk and Lindy came to visit us the last week in March.  We had a lot of fun with them, we love when we have visitors.  We went and spent a day in Portland, we rode the sky shuttle and the boys thought that was AWESOME.  It took you up to the hospital and below is a sky bridge that connects two different hospitalsl.
 Sky Bridge
 Getting ready for church.
Ready with his ticket to go on the sky shuttle.
I really just liked the lines of the sky bridge.
We stopped by Portland temple to visit the new visitors center and also checked out the grounds, Braxton is such a poser.  He would pose and say mom take my picture.

Grandma and Grandpa with Braxton, Corbin and Kevin were in the car because Corbin fell asleep. We had high hopes to stop by the zoo but it was so busy we decided against it. But it was a fun day in Portland.
